I hold a civil engineering degree from the University of Leuven, Belgium. With that engineering background together with a lot of in-the-field expertise, I work in partnership with clients, contractors and engineering companies to realize complex projects where dredging, offshore and maritime construction come together.
As a maritime consultant, I like to think along with clients and use my broad experience to streamline the design and execution processes of a project.
Prior to the start of Horizon Experts in 2022, I used to work in different stages of my career for port authorities, engineering firms and dredging contractors. All these experiences shaped me into a multi-functional expert who is fully aware of all stakeholder’s interests in a project.
Pioneering innovations and sustainable transformations related to marine environments are my main points of interest when working on a project. Knowing that a ‘one-size-fits-all’ methodology doesn’t work for those transformation projects, I guarantee a tailor-made approach taking into account the specific project context and corresponding client’s needs.
My empathic and people-oriented approach together with a rational mindset, turn out to be an excellent combination to manage (project) teams towards a common goal.
